Open tramcars

203-282

These 80 electric tramcars were the first which were put into service in Lisbon in 1901. They were constructed by Brill of Philadelphia. Between 1932 and 1937 most went out of service, although probably a few survived into the fourties. Except for the 247, the trucks and electric equipments were used for "Standard" type tramcars with retaining their numbers. The 247 became a workscar with the number 397. In 1975 this car was sold to a museum in Detroit (USA).
