Rolling Stock

Lisbon had at its maximum over 400 electric trams and 100 trailers. There were many different types.
  • 153-202 Open trailers
  • 203-282 Open 4-wheel motorcars on 21E trucks made in 1901 by Brill. Except for 247 the bodies were replaced by the new Standard or Ligeiro type between 1932 and 1937. 247 became works car 397.
  • 283-322 Open bogie motorcars on 22E trucks made in 1902 by Brill. 305 got a closed Ligeiro body in 1935. The electric equipments of the other cars were used for the construction of new 4-wheel Caixote type cars.
  • 323-342 Closed bogie motorcars on 22E trucks made in 1906 by Brill. 327-329, 338 & 340 got closed Ligeiro type bodies in 1931/32. 324-326, 331, 334-337 & 341 were reconstructed in 1959-1961.
  • 343-362 Closed Brill-type bogie motorcars on Brill 27GE1 trucks made in 1907 by Stephenson. 345, 353, 355 & 356 got closed Ligeiro type bodies in 1932. 343, 344, 347, 349-352, 354 & 357-362 were reconstructed in 1959-1961.
  • 363-367 Closed bogie motorcars on 22E trucks made in 1907 by Brill.
  • 389-399 Works cars.
  • 400-474 Closed 4-wheel cars on Brill 21E trucks made in 1901 by St.Louis. 415, 455, 467 & 468 got closed Standard type bodies in 1935. 403, 415, 417, 422, 425, 428-432, 442, 443, 449, 451, 461-463, 465-468, 473 & 474 got Caixote type bodies in the 1950's.
  • 475-499 Closed 4-wheel cars on 21E trucks made in 1909-1914 by Brill. 483 got a closed Standard type body in 1940. 479-481, 483, 485-490, 492-495, 497-499 got Caixote type bodies in the 1950's.
  • 500-502 Closed 4-wheel cars on Radiax trucks made in 1914 by Brill.
  • 503-507 Closed 4-wheel cars on 21E trucks made in 1914 by Brill. 506 got a Caixote type body in the 1950's.
  • 508-531 Closed Brill type 4-wheel cars on Brill 21E trucks made in 1924-1926 by Carris.
  • 532-551 Standard type 4-wheel cars on Maley & Taunton trucks made in 1928-1929 by Carris.
  • 552-571 Standard type 4-wheel cars on Brill 21E trucks made in 1931 by Carris. Fifteen cars were became single-end and were renumbered 771-785.
  • 601-612 Closed 4-wheel cars on Maley & Taunton trucks made in 1927 by Carris. 609 & 610 got Caixote bodies in the 1950's.
  • 203-246, 248-282, 415, 455, 467, 468, 483 Standard type 4-wheel cars on Brill 21E trucks of older cars in 1932-1937 by Carris.
  • 613-617 Standard type 4-wheel cars on Maley & Taunton trucks made in 1935 by Carris.
  • 701-735 Standard type 4-wheel cars on Maley & Taunton trucks made in 1936-1940 by Carris.
  • 736-745 Caixote type 4-wheel cars on Maley & Taunton trucks in 1947 by Carris. In 1987 the 737, 738, 741-745 got older Standard type bodies originating from the series 203-282
  • 800-805 Closed bogie cars on Maley & Taunton trucks made in 1939 by Carris.
  • 806-810 Closed bogie cars on Brill 22E trucks made in 1943 by Carris. The trucks were maybe originating from 363-367.
  • 901-910 Caixote type bogie cars on Maley & Taunton trucks made in 1947-1948 by Carris.
  • 283-304, 306-322 Caixote type 4-wheel cars on Brill trucks made in 1951-1963 by Carris with the use of the electric equipments of the open bogie cars with the same numbers.
  • 403..506 & 609-610 Caixote type 4-wheel cars made in 1952-1963 by Carris with the use of the trucks and electric equipments of older trams with the same numbers.
  • 101-200 Caixote type trailers.
  • 761-763 Standard type single end trams made by Carris out of the bodies of 276, 226 & 568 and the Brill 21E trucks of 736, 739 & 740.
  • 771-785 Standard type single end trams made by Carris out of 15 cars of the series 552-571.
  • 501-510 Articulated low floor trams constructed in 1995.
  • 541-585 Standard type single end trams with bodies originating from the series 203-282 and 701-735 and with new trucks and electric equipments.
